Taylor Swift is in the spirit to mend some old relationships. The singer reposted an Instagram story from Demi Lovato praising her new album, Lover.
“Life’s too short for women to not support other women,” Lovato wrote. “Especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift.”
Swift appreciated the gesture, adding it to her own story and writing, “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you @ddlovato.”
Swift and Lovato haven’t had the best relationship recently. After Swift called out Scooter Braun for buying her masters and accused him of bullying, Lovato came to Braun’s defense.
“I have dealt with bad people in the industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man,” she wrote. “Personally, I’m grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop ‘dragging’ people or bullying them. There’s enough hate in this world as it is.”
Lovato signed with Scooter Braun earlier this year and posted her excitement about the deal on Instagram.
“Dreams came true for me. I officially have a NEW MANAGER. And not just any manager but the one and only. Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter,” she wrote. “Thank you for believing in me and for being a part of this new journey.”
Swift’s new album is really bring people back together.
